Waratah Bay - 5 minutes drive from Sandy Point house.

This is Waratah Bay, which is at the other end of Sandy Point surf beach.  It is where I am going to learn to surf....... There was a lovely rainbow but not sure I captured it too well if I am totally honest!

Outside on the decking at Sandy Point - and our neighbours.

Roughing in the plumbing in the bathroom...and more of my plastering on display....

Lucky Paul knows what he is doing, as we ripped up the floor of the bathroom and Paul has re-located toilet and shower etc.
I did see one very large huntsman spider - outside on the garden fence though!!

Demolition has begun.......

We have decided to start on the bathroom and demolished it in a weekend, the pictures show how it is progressing.... this is my first bit of plastering. It isn't dry there - it looks better now.

Various.....

This is Bronte, (Lucas' girlfriend for his gap year). She is our friends Mandy & Nathan's daughter.
And a really dodge photo of me just before my plastering course.  And one at Shallow Inlet, Sandy Point on Sunday...... It's all me, me, me.

16 Telopea Drive, Sandy Point

Well, we went to the house at Sandy Point on Friday - with a trailer full of matresses, sofa, armchair and a camping fridge.  We had a most pleasant experience at Ikea (honestly - first time ever) and bought the sofa and armchair on Friday morning and headed down in the afternoon, after a bit more ferrying of bed frames etc.
We moved straight in that evening, not allowing ourselves to sit down until we were fully installed, and we had the most relaxing weekend possible.  The sun rises in the morning and spills on to the decking area and through the french doors to fill the house with sunshine.  We sat outside listening to the birds singing and me looking for koalas, drinking tea and reading our books.
It is winter at the moment, but the weather was glorious, totally blue skies and long walks on the beach.  Here are a few photos, some better ones coming.

Pelican crossing......

I know.... I am like David Attenborough......
I took these photos while we were fishing on a jetty at half moon bay, which is 5 minutes drive from Brickwood Street.
I still haven't caught a fish, I did catch a pier, I got my hook attached to the underside of a pier at Port Welshpool over easter and had to cut my line - Dad, you would have laughed!!
